Posted on

If you're planning your first trip to South America, you're in for an adventure. The land is beautiful and the people are friendly. Because there are so many amazing sites to be seen in South America, you should plan your vacation well in advance. You don't want to miss out on your once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to gaze at real natural beauty. To help you plan your vacation, here are four stops you should absolutely make.

Galapagos Island in Ecuador

If you're a nature lover, you have to visit Galapagos Island in Ecuador. This island remains as it has for hundreds of years. While visiting Galapagos Island, you can snorkel with the sea lions, get an up-close look at the Galapagos tortoises and watch blue-footed Boobies perform their mating rituals. You can even take leisurely walks through lava fields. This is your chance to come face-to-face with nature.

Iguazu Falls in Argentina and Brazil

If waterfalls are more your style, you should plan a visit to Iguazu Falls in Argentina and Brazil. The Iguazu Falls consist of about 250 individual waterfalls that can be seen from both Argentina and Brazil. The most spectacular view can be seen from the Argentina side, but both sides provide a breathtaking spectacle of water. While you're there, you should take one of the boat tours of the falls. The boats will bring you so close to the falls that you'll feel the mist in your face. You'll also be amazed by the beautiful parrots that fly above the falls.

Torres del Paine National Park in Patagonia, Chile

If you love to hike through beautiful forests, you need to plan a stop at Torres del Paine National Park in Patagonia, Chile. This national park is home to granite pillars that soar above the skyline. While there, you'll be able to hike along beautiful rivers where you'll see Andean Condors, Flamingos and Rhea – Ostrich-like birds. You'll also get a glimpse of the Guanacos, which was once hunted to near-extinction, but is now flourishing at Torres del Paine National Park.
